Explore & Restore: A Beginner Art and Pilates Workshop

Updated: 5 days ago

Pilates at home

I’m stepping into something a little different — and I’d love you to come with me.

Explore & Restore is a brand-new workshop I’m running with my wonderful friend, Rachel Clayton. It’s a calm, creative evening combining restorative movement with expressive art — something for the body, the mind, and maybe even a bit of the soul.

If you’ve ever found calm in movement or clarity through creativity, this might just be your kind of evening.

What is Explore & Restore?

This workshop brings together two practices that support each other beautifully: gentle Pilates-based movement and beginner-friendly art.

We’ll start with a restorative session, moving slowly and mindfully to help ease tension and connect to how the body feels. Then we’ll move into the art space — not to produce a masterpiece, but to explore how gesture and movement can be expressed through line and drawing.

No experience is needed in either. It’s all about the process, not perfection. Just a willingness to try something new in a warm and supportive space.

Why a Beginner Art and Pilates Workshop Just Makes Sense

Movement is a kind of language — our bodies say a lot, even when we’re still. Art, especially the kind of simple, flowing drawing we’ll explore, helps bring awareness to those subtle feelings. It’s a way to pause and notice.

Whether you're sketching a line or rolling through your spine, you’re tuning in. And from that place, it becomes easier to restore, reflect, and reconnect.
