Restorative Pilates
Gentle, mindful movement to restore balance, ease and connection

Presented by Rachel Nightingale
Founder Nightingale Pilates
Restorative Pilates is my own interpretation of gentle, free-flowing movement — designed to calm the nervous system, ease your joints, and reduce stress.
Born from my Breast Cancer Rehab training, this practice has grown into something that supports everyone — from those recovering from surgery or injury, to anyone simply in need of relaxation and renewal.
Where My Restorative Approach Comes From
It started from the Breast Cancer Rehab training course I was lucky enough to qualify in. This led me to deliver courses specific to women recovering from Breast Cancer and it was through the experience of teaching, observing & supporting these women, I witnessed how therapeutic & nurturing moving with freedom & gentleness affected them all. Bodies changed …. Minds changed….
My regular clients began to attend & loved it, asking for me to teach more… I realised that the form of Pilates I was delivering & developing was for everyone - my own interpretation of Restorative Pilates was born.
So this gentle, free flowing, nervous system calming form of Pilates helps you breath better, improves your mobility, eases your joints, reduces stress & promotes relaxation.
It’s suitable for everyone & those of us recovering from surgery, injuries or stressful times. It can be very useful for managing pain, feeling burnt out or just wanting a rejuvenating movement experience.
In essence, my restorative pilates is a gentle, supportive, mindful approach to movement. Aiming to help you heal & restore balance, peace, love for & within your body.
